Our Story
Richloom is a third-generation, family-owned textile and finished goods company built on entrepreneurial spirit and a global vision. Founded in 1957 by Fred Richman with just a $5,000 loan, Richloom began as a small fabric supplier and has since grown into a multifaceted operation serving a wide range of industries worldwide.
Fred’s Legacy Lives on Through the Next Generations
Jim Richman, who joined in 1972 and has led the company for more than 35 years as CEO. Under his direction, Richloom expanded internationally and entered the furniture, hospitality, and finished goods markets, employing hundreds around the globe.
Michael Saivetz, Fred’s grandson and current President & COO, helped drive Richloom’s growth in Shanghai, and later opened new doors in the RV industry.
From New York to Global Markets
Headquartered in New York City with major operations in North and South Carolina, Shanghai, and Indiana, Richloom serves a diverse customer base including the upholstery, hospitality, decorative jobber, cruise, outdoor furniture, retail, and RV industries. Our product offering spans prints, wovens, decorative textiles, and finished goods, supported by a global sourcing network and a keen ability to adapt to market needs.
At our core, we are design-driven manufacturers guided by innovation, sustainability, and service. Creativity fuels our collections, responsibility shapes our process, and agility keeps us moving forward. Now in its third generation of family leadership, Richloom continues to prioritize stability, integrity, and growth, shaping the future of textiles through craftsmanship and global collaboration.
